The release is a culmination of a lifelong friendship between the Järvi and Pärt families which coincides with the iconic composer's 75th birthday. Kristjan Järvi is son of Neeme Järvi – to whom the Third Symphony is dedicated – his family’s relationship with his Estonian compatriot Pärt dates back to a decade before his birth in 1972.
